Starting Sattison’s Story

Long pink ballgown hanging off her shoulders, significant-high heels, heavy necklace around her neck, her parents laughing at her tripping over the extra fabric, and the ending pose with the hand on the hip… Most people would see that as a little girl dressing up in their mother’s clothing for enjoyment. This feeling was different for four years old Kennedy; every time I put on these items, an overwhelming sense of being grown and beautiful consumed me. All my life, my mom had told me, “By doing your hair, putting a little makeup on, and wear a nice outfit you will be deciding how you concur the day ahead of you.” With those inspirational words in my head, I made it known to express my emotions through my clothing. A glance at my outfit could tell the mood of my day. If I were running late, I would be wearing an old sweatshirt and leggings. If I woke up early and were in a good mood, I would be wearing a cute sweater with ripped jeans. All of this inspired my love for stylish but comfortable clothing.

I am a girl with enormous dreams, living in a small town. I love traveling, trying new things, and pushing boundaries. I enjoy dressing up and spending way too much money at the mall. I am Kennedy Sattison, but my friends call me Kenn.
